Metro Flood Diversion Authority Hires Compliance Specialist
FARGO, ND (May 11, 2023) – The Metro Flood Diversion Authority recently hired Jessica Warren as its first compliance specialist. In this role, she works closely with the lands-focused team to support functions relating to purchasing/procurement, contracting, permit reporting and financial reporting.
“We feel fortunate to have someone with Jessica’s experience on our small team,” said Jodi Smith, MFDA director of lands and compliance. “I have had the opportunity to work directly with her on many MFDA lands-related projects in recent years, and she has proven to be a reliable, knowledgeable and responsive asset for the FM Area Diversion project.”
Warren previously worked as a project manager with Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, which has had a team dedicated to working on the diversion project. In that role, she provided support to the project, including analyzing data, creating property acquisition schedules, and managing property owner communication. She also acquired permits, easements and right-of-entry allowances for impacted properties.
Prior to AE2S, Warren worked as an associate electrical designer for Xcel Energy and as a housing case manager for the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and she has more than six years of GIS training and experience.
