Lane Closures on I-94 Planned

FARGO, N.D. – As construction of the Interstate 94 stormwater diversion channel crossings continues, temporary lane closures on I-94 are needed to prepare for the next phase of construction.

A closure of the westbound driving lane between Exit 342 and 343 is expected to begin on Monday, July 7 and last for seven (7) days. During this closure, lane width will be restricted to 16 feet. Upon completion of this work, the closure will switch to the passing lane and last for approximately one month. During this lane closure, lane width will be restricted to 18 feet. These closures will allow for necessary work to begin the new mainline tie-ins of each lane in anticipation of the westbound bridge opening later this fall.

All dates and timelines are weather dependent and may change.

Motorists are asked to remain alert to changing traffic patterns and follow traffic signs in the construction zone. Speeds are reduced in the project area for the safety of construction crews and motorists.
