County Road 14 Crossing to Open

FARGO, N.D. – Red River Valley Alliance announces the scheduled opening of the County Road 14 crossing over the stormwater diversion channel, a portion of the FM Area Diversion project. Crews will begin constructing tie-ins between the existing CR 14 and the newly built roadway to move traffic from the existing roadway to the new roadway on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Temporary lane closures in each direction will be necessary as this work is completed. Flaggers will be in place to coordinate traffic through the lane closures. Intermittent traffic stoppage and construction is expected to last through Friday, July 31, 2026, when the new crossing will fully open to traffic.

The County Road 14 crossing is the 18th crossing to open across the channel.

Located southwest of Horace, construction on the CR 14 bridge began in January 2025. The bridge features a pedestrian/bike lane on the south side of the bridge. With the opening of this bridge, the removal of the existing section of CR 14 will begin in the near future.
