This meeting will be in-person at the Cass County Commission Chambers (211 9th Street South, Fargo, ND 58103).

 

12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Board Retreat

Board Retreat Agenda Items:

  • MFDA Governance Policy Implementation
  • O&M Challenges and Expectations:
    • Right sizing MFDA staff for maintenance and future operations
    • Potential agreements with City/County for staffing to flex staff and/or equipment to the MFDA for O&M
    • Stand by Contractors/Consultants
    • Project Agreement Administration
    • Section 408 challenges
    • Environmental Monitoring
  • Budget Timeline for 2026 Budget
  • Financial Plan – Basic Concept of the plan and Four Legs of the Financial Stool
  • 12 Month outlook at the critical path to get the project substantially complete by October 1st, 2026, and ready for a Spring 2027 potential flood.

 

3:00 PM to 3:15 PM – Load Bus

3:15 PM – 5:30 PM – Bus Tour of the FM Diversion Project

 

Bus Tour:

Take a 2.5 hour bus tour with the MFDA Board Members, staff, and media to visit key components of the project including P3 portions of the project (Maple River Aqueduct, various bridges and channel reaches, and Rush River Outlet) and the USACE let projects (Cass 16/17 Round About, Red River or Wild Rice Structure, Drain 27 mitigation, and several levee segments).  We will limit the number of locations we offload the bus to two to four locations.
