The Program Management Consultant (PMC) team will be educating local lenders, appraisers, assessors, and real estate professionals about the FM Area Flood Risk Reduction Project…specifically the land acquisition requirements associated with the Project.

The desired outcome of educational meetings with the lending community is for the organizations and individuals to have a clear understanding of the real estate acquisition process and timeline.

The educational meetings are anticipated to include the land requirements for the Project, the role the Diversion Authority serves in land management, the channel and structures associated with the Project, the current acquisition schedule, how the federal acquisition process works, potential variations to the federal process, and lastly, the non-acquisition related impacts on property owners.

Meetings with lenders, appraisers, assessors, and real estate professionals will be presented throughout late spring/early summer.
