A document summarizing the top refinements made to the F-M Area Diversion Project to limit impacts has been posted on fmdiversion.com.
The “Project Refinements Limiting Impacts” document includes 11 examples of how local leaders and Project staff have continued to improve the Project in consideration of upstream and downstream communities and their flood protection.
One of the examples included in the document originates from a time before development of the Diversion Project started: a reminder that in the late 1990s, Fargo-Moorhead leaders supported State and Federal funding for flood protection efforts in Grand Forks/East Grand Forks and Wahpeton/Breckenridge before funding local efforts in Cass County, Clay County, Fargo, and Moorhead.
The “Project Refinements Limiting Impacts” document is available for download in the Library section of fmdiversion.com.
