Diversion Authority Board and Committees to meet in March via Teleconference
The Metro Flood Diversion Authority (the “Authority”) will have its regularly scheduled meeting at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26th at the Authority offices (207 4th St. N Ste. A). Due to COVID-19 concerns and recommended guidelines, participants are encouraged to attend the meeting via teleconference and the public is encouraged to attend the meeting virtually.
The Authority’s Finance and Land Management Committees will also keep their regular meetings on Wednesday, March 25 via teleconference. The Public Outreach Committee scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th has been cancelled.
“We will be operating as normally as possible, but taking every effort not to put citizens at risk for spreading, contracting and being impacted by COVID-19,” Executive Director Joel Paulsen said.
In response to efforts to minimize the effects of COVID-19, Board and Committee members are encouraged to utilize the teleconference features provided below. The General Public is encouraged to utilize the City of Fargo’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cityoffargo/), which will live stream the meetings. The meetings will also be posted afterwards on www.fmdiversion.gov.

PARTICIPATING IN PERSON (NOT RECCOMENDED)
The Diversion Authority is also providing a speaker phone at the Diversion Authority office located at the Fargo Civic Center for individuals who have no other way to participate. Given the recommendations by the CDC, the Governor of North Dakota and local authorities, it is not recommended that participants attend the meeting at this location, but it is made available to comply with North Dakota’s open meeting laws.
