The Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with the Diversion Authority, hosted approximately 150 people at a public meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Fargo Civic Center to discuss the latest Environmental Assessment. The meeting also updated landowners within the western and southern reaches of the proposed diversion channel.
In addition, the Corps and Diversion Authority hosted approximately 75 people at a meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Community Center in Harwood, ND to discuss several topics regarding the Diversion Project.
Both meetings were well attended, and were structured around an open house format which was well utilized to make sure everyone was able to have their specific situations addressed.
Topics regarding transportation and drainage issues were addressed, among other topics specific to individual property owners.
